Our Mission
News Accurate exists because most breaking coverage online is optimized for reaction rather than accuracy. A story gets amplified, details shift, and by the time the correction runs nobody sees it. Our approach is the opposite: publish shorter, publish sourced, and be explicit about certainty. Each brief opens with the facts that are established, names the outlets and documents behind them, notes what is still unconfirmed, and links the primary record so any reader can verify the claim independently. We do not run anonymous single-source scoops, we do not rewrite another outlet’s story and present it as our own reporting, and we do not use headlines that promise more than the article delivers. When we get something wrong, we say so at the top of the piece with the date of the correction. The goal is a page you can send to someone who wants to know what actually happened — and nothing more than that.
